About Us
Viroqua Aronia LLC is a vertically integrated aronia berry company rooted in the Driftless region of southwest Wisconsin. We are a collaboration between our founding farmer and a local physician: one of us grows the fruit, the other brought the conviction that great food should be simple, honest, and traceable to the field it came from.
Our aronia berries are grown, pressed, and bottled in Vernon County. We harvest on our own farm, press the fruit at our facility in Viroqua, and turn it into two single-ingredient foods: full-strength aronia juice in glass bottles and 3-liter bag-in-box, and milled whole-berry aronia powder. Nothing is added and nothing is taken away. The same small team handles the berries from field to bottle.
Aronia is America's next super berry. Native to North America and well suited to Wisconsin's climate, it is deeply purple, boldly tart, and naturally rich in polyphenols, the compounds that give the fruit its color and distinctive dry, wine-like finish. We focus on how aronia tastes and how people enjoy it: poured as a morning juice, blended into smoothies, stirred into yogurt and oatmeal, or sprinkled over ice cream.
We sell directly through our online store, on Amazon, and through grocery and food-hub wholesale partners, bringing a Wisconsin-grown, Wisconsin-made berry to tables across the Midwest and the country. Viroqua Aronia is proud to be a Driftless farm business growing something special from Wisconsin.
