Santa Day: Free Admission
Santa returns to Madison Children’s Museum for family photos! In honor of this VIP visit, the museum is open for free all day on December 2 with special holiday-themed crafts in the Art Studio. Madison Reading Project will give away children’s books while supplies last. All activities, including photos with Santa, are free. This event is presented in partnership with the Progress Center for Black Women. As Santa’s time at the museum is limited (9:30 am–3:30 pm), registration is required for Santa photos. Be sure to sign up for MCM’s newsletter and watch your inbox for a message when registration opens. Starting mid-November, you can find registration details on the museum's Santa Day page. Photos will be available for free digital download approximately two weeks after Santa Day. For those registered for Santa photos: plan to arrive no later than 2 pm to make sure you get a picture with Santa before he heads back to the North Pole. The line may be long, so please bring entertainment for young children as you wait. This year MCM is offering a bonus photo opportunity! Fans of Tiana and Elsa can meet their favorite Frog Princess and Ice Queen for photos from 1-3 pm, no registration required. Simply find these royal guests in the museum to say hello and take photos using your phone.
